At the beginning of 2013, we had 2 new classrooms built to accommodate the rising number of children who wish to come and learn at William Barcroft School. . These classrooms are currently being used by Year 6 classes. They have cloakrooms built into large cupboards with sliding doors to enable children to hang up their coats and bags. We also had new sink areas installed in all classrooms with extra storage space.
In the summer holidays we had new toilets, both children’s and staff built throughout the school. All girls and boys toilets have been painted and new toilets and sinks installed. The children love their new toilets!
The staff toilets have also had a revamp! The ladies toilets have been increased to 4 toilets with 3 new sinks and a hand dryer. The Mens toilet has been built with a toilet, sink and hand dryer. We have also had a disabled toilet built.
Phase 2 of the building work has also been completed! We have an extension made to the front of the school to increase office space. We have a new reception and waiting area. Also in school we have a new glass intervention room to allow space for children to learn in a quiet area. Take a look at the pictures along the next few pages.
